The Nigeria Immigration Service NIS has announced the promotion of the service public relations officer Adedotun Aridegbe to the Rank of Comptroller of Immigration and 4851 other personnel
The Service public relations officer in a release say the promotion details were conveyed through a letter from the Civil Defence, Correctional, fire, and Immigration Service board.
Comptroller General NIS Wuraola Adepoju made the announcement at the service headquarters Abuja on Tuesday were decorating the newly promoted Assistant Comptroller Generals and Comptrollers of Immigration
Breakdown of the promotion shows that a total of 18 Comptrollers of Immigration got promoted to the Rank of Assistant Comptroller General ACG.
51 Deputy Comptrollers were promoted to the Rank of Comptrollers of Immigration
43 Assistant Comptrollers were also promoted to the Rank of Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration
The Breakdown also indicates that 520 Chief Superintendents of Immigration were promoted to the Rank of Assistant Comptrollers of Immigration
634 Superintendent of Immigration were promoted to the Rank of Chief Superintendents of Immigration, while 426 Deputy Superintendents of Immigration were promoted to the Rank of Superintendent of Immigration
Similarly 1366 Assistant Superintendents of Immigration were promoted to the Rank of Deputy Superintendents, as 804 Assistant Superintendents (2) were promoted to the Rank of Assistant Superintendents (1)
990 inspectors of Immigration were promoted to Assistant Superintendents of Immigration (2).
The Comptroller General NIS Wuraola Adepoju expressed gratitude to the minister of interior Olubumi Tunji Ojo and the board for his unwavering commitment to staff motivation
She charged the newly promoted officers to validate their advancement through heightened dedication and unwavering loyalty to authorities.
She however assured the government of a better Immigration Service under her leadership as the service would continue to contribute significantly to the peace and progress of the country.
Among officers Decorated were the Comptroller Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos command NIS Adeola Adesokan to the Rank of Assistant Comptroller General and former service public relations officer James Sunday also to the Rank of Assistant Comptroller General ACG
