The Nigeria Airspace Management Agency NAMA has suspended its proposed hike in Navigational charges.
The hike which was supposed to have commenced on 1sr September 2024, was suspended following a directive from the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo based on the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians.
The minister stressed the need for further consultation before implementing any changes, highlighting the importance of being sensitive to the plight of Nigerians in these economic situation.
You will recall that the managing director of NAMA Farouk Umar had at the LAAC conference in Lagos over the weekend disclosed that there will be hike in Navigational charges come 1st September 2024
