The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has commenced the roll out of the second phase of its contactless biometric Passport application system in USA, Mexico, Jamaica and Brazil
The NIS Public Relations Officer, ACI Akinsola Akinlabi, who disclosed this in a release , said the exercise which had already commenced in the USA on April 11 2025, will kick-off in Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil on April 14th 2025.
NIS said the system will enable citizens to apply for passports without visiting the Nigerian missions.
With the latest rollout, the contactless system is now available in Canada, USA, Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil, Europe, and Asia and is accessible on Google Playstore.
The Agency however reaffirmed its commitment towards innovative and sufficient service delivery in Nigerians anywhere in the World.
