Airline operators of Nigeria AON, say the unruly behaviour exhibited by Senator Adams Oshiomole at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport lagos was uncalled for.
The Spokesperson for AON Prof Obiora Okonkwo who made this known in a chat with aviation correspondents at the weekend stated that , the AON have taken interest in all the press statement by the distinguished Senator, as well as a full brief of AirPeace on the incident, adding that “there is no amount of disappointment, if at all from any airline that gives you any right for self help”
Okonkwo who described the incident as quiet unfortunate noted that AON, it’s operators and members have had a enough of unruly behaviour from passengers adding that the one involving a high profile Nigerian like Oshiomole is just one distraction too many.
The AON spokesman noted that “As a matter of fact, as much as we appreciate and understand that every passenger has a right, their right is only limited to what is allowed within ICAO and the aviation industry. ”
“AirPeace is a respected airline, no matter what you talk about, they carry 40-50% of all the domestic passengers, they deserve respect”
Okonkwo further disclosed that the AON is not happy about this, since AirPeace and Oshiomole have given their own version of the incident, he challenged FAAN to release the video for that day.
“FAAN is the landlord, they should have the full stories, that will tell us where things stand because they should have their videos, they have their own staff on ground to know what happened. And we are really really unhappy that FAAN as at today has not given their version of the story.”
He stressed that the AON is observing and watching to see what will happen as they do not expect that rules should be set differently for high people and low people, adding that when there is unruly passenger, the person must face the law.
Last week Senator Adams Oshiomole was alleged to disrupted operations at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos as he was denied boarding for coming late for his flight with AirPeace Airline
