President Bola Tinubu has been commended for creating the enabling environment and policies for the growth being experienced in the aviation industry.

Chairman of AirPeace Airline Allen Onyema who made this known at a media briefing in lagos stated that if not for President Tinubu, the aviation sector would have been dead by now.

He commended the President for appointing Festus Keyamo as aviation minister

He said “The beginning of good governance starts with the kind of people you put in the saddle to run any ministry.”

He noted that Keyamo has done so much for the sector to ensure sustainable growth as Airline Operators of Nigeria AON are enjoying from his efforts.

Onyema revealed that in the next three weeks, Nigeria is about to start receiving her first Dry lease opportunities, as that has never happened in decades.

He noted that, Nigeria was unofficially blacklisted for over ten years ago, based on issues of capacity, as Nigeria Airlines lack capacity and past government did nothing about the capacity issues, but with this administration all that has changed as Dry leased planes will soon start coming into the country.

He stressed that this government is making it possible for the aviation sector to thrive and commended Festus Keyamo for going round the world to ensure it, to the extent that the language of Cape Town was now changed in favour of Nigeria to facilitate Dry lease.
