…New Service to Connect Lagos and Accra with Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago from December 2025

Air Peace, the largest airline in West and Central Africa, has announced plans to commence a landmark monthly charter flight service connecting Africa and the Caribbean, beginning 21 December 2025.

The new route will connect Lagos (Nigeria) and Accra (Ghana) with Antigua and Barbados, extending onwards to Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. The initiative marks a significant stride in the airline’s mission to strengthen global connectivity and foster economic, cultural, and tourism ties between Africa and the Caribbean.

In a statement issued by the airline’s Corporate Communications Department, Air Peace described the new service as a “major step in bridging two regions with deep historical and cultural links.” The airline emphasised that the flights would create new opportunities for tourism, trade, and mutual cooperation between African and Caribbean nations.

“This development reflects our long-term commitment to expanding Africa’s reach across continents. By offering direct access to the Caribbean, we are enabling Africans to explore new destinations while promoting stronger interregional ties,” the statement read.

Air Peace’s latest expansion builds on its previous successful operations to the Caribbean, including the historic Lagos–Montego Bay (Jamaica) charter in 2020 and the Abuja–St. Kitts & Nevis service launched earlier in 2025.

These milestones, the airline said, have laid the foundation for a more structured and sustainable connection between Africa and the Caribbean islands.

To ensure a seamless and enriching travel experience, Air Peace has entered into partnerships with reputable travel agencies – Tour Brokers International (Nigeria), Sun Seekers Tours (Ghana), and Adansi Travels (Ghana) – to curate exclusive holiday and tour packages for passengers.

These packages will cater to leisure travellers, cultural enthusiasts, and business tourists seeking new frontiers for exploration and investment.

Bookings for the monthly scheduled flights to Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago are already available on the airline’s official website, www.flyairpeace.com, and through its network of accredited travel agents across Africa.

With this new Caribbean connection, Air Peace further consolidates its position as a continental leader in aviation. The airline currently serves over 25 domestic, 10 regional, and 8 international destinations, including London, Dubai, Jeddah, Johannesburg, and Mumbai.

Operating one of the most modern and diverse fleets in Africa, Air Peace’s aircraft line-up includes Boeing 777s, Airbus A330s, Boeing 737s, Embraer 195-E2s, Embraer 145s, and Dornier aircraft, all maintained to rigorous international safety standards.

The airline reaffirmed its dedication to safety, reliability, and affordability while positioning Nigeria as a vital hub for intercontinental connectivity.

“Our vision is to make Africa more accessible to the world, while providing Nigerians and other Africans the means to explore global destinations with comfort and pride,” the statement continued.

The introduction of direct flights between Africa and the Caribbean represents a remarkable leap forward in international travel. It revives centuries-old cultural ties while promoting tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between both regions.

By linking cities like Lagos and Accra with Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, Air Peace has effectively opened a new chapter in transatlantic travel – one that unites two vibrant regions through air connectivity and shared aspirations.
