Travelport, a global provider of multi-source travel content and technology, has entered into a long-term content partnership with Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s and West Africa’s largest airline, in a move designed to enhance the airline’s global market access and strengthen its distribution footprint across Africa and beyond.

The multi-year agreement, announced jointly in London and Lagos, will enable Air Peace to distribute its full range of flight content through Travelport+, Travelport’s next-generation marketplace that serves hundreds of thousands of travel agencies worldwide.

By making its inventory more widely available, Air Peace is expected to gain improved visibility in Central and West Africa, while also consolidating its presence in key international markets.

Under the partnership, Air Peace will leverage Travelport’s modern retailing technology, rich content and branding capabilities to more effectively showcase its products to travel agents and customers.

The agreement reflects a broader industry shift, particularly among airlines in emerging markets, towards advanced distribution platforms that support product differentiation, enhance transparency and improve the overall travel retail experience.

Air Peace currently operates an extensive network of domestic, regional and charter services across Nigeria and West Africa, alongside international routes to destinations in the Middle East, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.

Through the expanded collaboration with Travelport, the airline’s complete content offering will be accessible via Travelport+, allowing travel agencies around the world to book Air Peace flights more efficiently and with greater confidence.

Travelport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Damian Hickey, said the agreement underscores the strategic importance of Air Peace within the West and Central African aviation landscape.

He noted that the partnership strengthens Travelport’s content offering in these markets while enabling Air Peace to extend its global reach by delivering enhanced, branded content to travel agencies in line with next-generation retailing standards.

Air Peace’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, described the partnership as a significant milestone in the airline’s growth and international expansion strategy.

He said Air Peace remains focused on ensuring its services are easily accessible to travel agencies worldwide, adding that Travelport’s extensive distribution network and modern technology platform would support the airline’s ambitions to grow sales, enhance customer experience and deepen its presence in major international markets.

The agreement further reinforces Travelport’s strong footprint across Africa at a time when airlines on the continent are increasingly prioritising distribution solutions that combine broad agency reach with modern retailing capabilities.

Industry observers note that such collaborations are critical as African carriers seek to integrate more effectively into global travel markets and respond to evolving customer expectations.

Travelport with its headquarters in London, operates in more than 180 countries, connecting travel buyers and sellers through its Travelport+ marketplace. The company was ranked number one among 160 travel software suppliers in a G2 survey conducted in December 2025, reflecting its leadership in travel technology.

Air Peace continues to expand its fleet and route network, operating aircraft including Boeing 777s, Boeing 737s and Embraer models. The airline plays a key role in strengthening connectivity, supporting trade and tourism, and positioning Nigeria as an emerging aviation hub within Africa and the global travel ecosystem.
