The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity among its workforce.
This reaffirmation was made by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, during an intensive training workshop held on 20th October 2025 at the Authority’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The session was organised in collaboration with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and coordinated by the NCAA’s Directorate of Human Resources and Administration.
The workshop, which brought together top management and staff from various departments, was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of ethical obligations, strengthen adherence to the Code of Conduct for public officers, and ensure accountability in the discharge of official duties.
In his closing remarks, Capt. Najomo commended the CCB for its technical support and partnership, noting that the Authority would continue to align its internal policies with the national ethical framework. He emphasised that integrity and professionalism remain the foundation of the NCAA’s regulatory mandate.
“The NCAA is determined to uphold the highest ethical values in all its operations. We will continue to build an institutional culture that rewards honesty, transparency, and accountability,” Najomo said.
He further announced that the Authority would establish clear frameworks and pathways to guide employees in maintaining integrity and ethical conduct, stressing that such measures are crucial to sustaining public confidence in the aviation sector.
The DGCA also noted that the NCAA’s collaboration with the CCB demonstrates the agency’s proactive stance in ensuring that all staff members are not only aware of their responsibilities under the Code of Conduct but are also equipped to implement them effectively in their daily operations.
Among those who attended the training were senior management officials including the Director of Operations, Licensing and Training Standards, Capt. Donald Spiff; Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu; Director of Human Resources and Administration, Dr (Mrs.) Anastasia Gbem; and Director of Corporate Services, Dr (Mrs.) Rebecca Aghadinazu. Several General Managers from different directorates were also present.
The training marked another significant step in the NCAA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional ethics and reinforce public trust in Nigeria’s civil aviation regulatory framework.
