Operator of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, MMA2, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, says proactive steps will be taken to address potential safety challenges and ensure a seamless travel experience for passengers during the peak holiday season.

Speaking at a recently held year-end safety meeting, attended by industry stakeholders, Acting Chief Operating Officer, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Remi Jibodu, said the focus was on maintaining the highest safety standards and preventing incidents that could compromise passenger safety while asserting that they would reinforce safety protocols.

Also speaking, the Head, Safety Department, Nafisat Adeniran said stakeholders involvement and participation is very key in safety management, noting that the proactive approach wasto ensure that everyone is fully involved in safety both in aeronautical and non-aeronautical activities in line with safety policy.

Head of Corporate Communications, Bi-Courtney, Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, also said the company understand the safety as a cornerstone of operations and the trust passengers place in them, adding that the meeting reflects their unwavering commitment to fostering a secure environment for travelers, especially during the busy holiday season.
Meanwhile, the end of year safety meeting was a combination of Apron and terminal safety committee meetings to increase awareness, review incidents, understand roles and responsibilities to allow both committees work together towards achieving a common goal.

During the meeting, participants deliberated on specific measures to enhance terminal operations, sharing feedback and suggestions on ways to further promote and prioritise safety.

The discussions culminated in the recognition and awarding of the top safety performers for the year 2024.
