After being locked for over twenty four hours, the gates leading into the two terminal buildings domestic Wing of the murtala Muhammad Airport lagos were reopened to passengers and crew for flight operations

The unions led by vice president of Air transport services senior staff association of Nigeria ATSSSAN Emmanuel Jaja said the gates were opened for flight operations given the suspension of the unions strike for the next one week following the intervention of president Bola Tinubu.

Some passengers who were at the airport when the unions opened the gates expressed satisfaction with the news of the suspension of the strike

Earlier some passengers who were at the airport say they had received notification from their airlines for scheduled flight operations.

Flight operations were disrupted on Monday following the strike called by unions in the aviation sector in compliance with NLC and TUC directive , which left passengers stranded

It is expected that with the suspension of the strike, normal flight operations will commence quickly.
