United Nigeria Airlines (UNA), has rewarded four winners with complimentary return air tickets at the 2025 Rotary Sports Festival (ROSFEST’25), held in Lagos.
The airline in a statement by its management said that the gesture was part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which is aimed at fostering social cohesion.
The statement hinted that the event, which was organised by Rotary District 9112, aimed to promote charity, teamwork, and physical fitness among Rotarians.
As the official airline sponsor, United Nigeria Airlines reaffirmed its dedication to uniting people, families, businesses, and communities through air travel, the statement said.
The recipients of the return tickets included Adeola Banjoko and Hakeem Amao, who emerged as the best female and male golfers, respectively.
Also, Halima Oluwakemi Olusesi and Rebecca Omokaro Isoke won their tickets through a raffle draw held during the awards dinner and raffle night.
During the event, United Nigeria Airlines was also honoured with an ‘Award of Excellence’ in recognition of its continued impact in the aviation industry.
The award highlighted the airline’s role in enhancing connectivity, customer satisfaction, and service innovation within Nigeria’s air travel sector.
Speaking on the event, Raphael Uchegbu, Chief Commercial Officer (COO), United Airlines, said that the airline’s partnership with ROSFEST’25 reflected its broader mission of uniting dreams, cultures, and people.
Uchegbu commended Rotary District 9112 for its contributions to sports and charity, emphasising that United Nigeria Airlines remained committed to supporting sports and social initiatives across Nigeria.
He further noted that the winners of the return tickets would enjoy additional benefits, including a one-year ticket validity, offering them greater flexibility in planning their trips across the airline’s domestic network.
United Nigeria Airlines, which recently added the Lagos–Abuja–Katsina route to its network, also renewed its sponsorship deal with Nigerian Premier League giants, Enyimba FC.
