NIS officials at the Lagos airport arrest suspected hotel room killer.

Officials of the Nigeria immigration service NIS, murtala Muhammad international airport Lagos have arrested one suspected hotel room killer.

The suspect an American citizen identified as Kari Ann O’Rourke was arrested on Monday at the Lagos airport by the NIS as she was been trailed for the alleged murder of one Adebayo Michael Ayomide in one hotel in Victoria island.

The suspect attempted to depart Nigeria on Monday night on board a KLM flight, but was not so lucky as she presented an expired covid 19 test results which caused her delay and denial to board thereby raising suspicion of the service and was nabbed by those on her trail.

She was apprehended at the departure hall of the murtala Muhammad international airport Lagos by officers of NIS and FAAN Aviation Security at the Qatar airline counter before she was brought to the NIS duty room for questioning

The suspect had arrived Nigeria on the 22nd of January 2021 with tourist visa and lodged in the hotel in Victoria Island and was on her way out of the country after the alleged murder of the young man in the hotel, as the police officer in charge of the murder case trailed her to the airport

Upon interrogation she disclosed that she had come into Nigeria on a tourist visa and she lodged in Victoria island and visited several tourist centres with one Mr Ayomide.

She was handed over to the airport command of the Nigeria police for further investigation.

However a mild drama occurred at the airport as family of the deceased who heard that she had been arrested attempted to get into the terminal building but was stopped by aviation security as well as other security agencies.
