Sirika who confirmed this on his Twitter handle says aircraft crashed “short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna”
Sirika says air crash “appears to be fatal” but calls for calm and for Nigerians to wait for outcome of investigation by the military”
The aircraft which departed Abuja at 1033UTC with 6 persons on board the aircraft including 2 crew members.
The aircraft was said to have reported engine failure and crashed landed on final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at time 1048UTC.
Fire service are already at scene of the accident
