Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS Kemi Nandap has stressed the need for multi agency approach in addressing border security challenges.
Nandap who made this known when she recieved a delegation from the Border Community Development Agency, BCDA, led by the executive secretary, Dr George-Kelly D Alabo, in her office in Abuja, welcomed the opportunity to leverage the agency’s expertise and resources.
She expressed appreciation of the agency’s collaboration with the NIS and assured that the service would continue to work closely with them to achieve both agency’s shared goals.
The meeting according to a release by the immigration service public relations officer Akinsola Akinlabi is a significant step towards enhanced collaboration on Border Security initiatives and promotion of regional stability
Executive Secretary of BCDA Dr George-kelly D. Alabo expressed the agency’s commitment to supporting the NIS in its efforts to secure the Nation’s Borders.
He emphasized the importance of Community engagement and empowerment in preventing security threats and promoting peaceful coexistence.
