The Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, says Profiling the first batch of 258 Nigerian Returnees from South Africa on Thursday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos,was Seamless.

Assistant Comptroller General ACG incharge of passport NIS Headquarters Abuja, Titilayo Olaiya who represented the Comptroller-General Kemi Nandap to recieve the Returnees, stated that upon arrival at the airport, NIS officials had welcomed the Returnees whom she said were excited to be back home.

Acg Olaiya disclosed that all agencies worked together hand in hand in synergy and cooperation in ensuring that the Returnees were properly treated, adding all agencies had their duties and responsibilities in handling the Returnees.

She noted that the immigration service had prepared ahead of this exercise as their equipment were fully operational and were working effectively

“We were able to clear the first batch effortlessly because with our Migration information Data Analysis System MIDAS, we had more than enough system on ground and that is the reason we can clear easily”.

“We had Seamless operation with Profiling and documentation of the Returnees, that is why we were able to clear the first set of Returnees that entered the hall”. She added

Acg Olaiya thank President Bola Tinubu for providing the means for their return following xenophobic attacks in South Africa and also the CG immigration Kemi Nandap for also providing some form of refreshments for the Returnees upon arrival
