Worried by the increasing Reports of extortion at the various Airports in the country the managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN Kabir Mohammed has expressed readiness to address it.
Mohammed disclosed undercover personnel known as Mystery Staff, have been deployed to the major international Airports.
The FAAN boss who made this known at a one day Airport Council international, Service Quality event in said the Mystery Staff, have been tasked to monitor irregularities at the four international Airports with a focus on Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos.
Kabir Mohammed expressed displeasure at the poor image been painted of the murtala Muhammad International Airport due to extortion of passengers and warned that anyone caught in such act this festive season will face disciplinary action.

He, however, charged representatives of government agencies operating at the Airport which include immigration, customs, police, Quarantine amongst others to ensure they discharge their duties optimally.
He urged everyone to collaborate in discharging their duties and warned that there are active cameras everywhere, as anyone caught will be brought to book.
He stressed that agencies working at the airport are involved in this breach at the airport and noted that FAAN is not going to tolerate any further embarrassment.
