Minister of aviation announce August 29 2020, as international flights resumption.

Minister of aviation Hadi Sirika has announced that international flight operations will resume on 29th August 2020.
Sirika who made this known Monday at the briefing of the presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 in Abuja said Nigeria’s international airports have reached a progressive state of preparedness for the resumption of international flight operations, adding that Murtala Mohammed international airport lagos and Nnamdi Azikwe international airport Abuja will commence operations first.
He noted that emphasis will be placed on the observation of all safety and technical guidelines as prescribed by global and health authorities which will be communicated in due course.
Siriki in a tweet on his official handle reads “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with lagos and Abuja, as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience ”
Director public affairs ministry of aviation, James Odaudu says following the suspension of international flights since 23rd March 2020, as a result of the covid 19 pandemic, evacuation flights were introduced and these evacuation flights are expected to end on 25th August 2020.
