BASL commends Ibom Air for Aircraft acquisition
Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited BASL operators of the murtala Muhammad Airport terminal two(MMA2) has commended Ibom Air Airlines for the acquisition of its brand new Airbus A220-300 Aircraft
BASL congratulatory message by its chief operating officer Mrs Tosin Duncan Odukoya was made known in a release by its head of coperate communications Ajoke Yinka -Olawuyi.
Duncan Odukoya while congratulating Ibom Air, also tipped more Nigerian Airlines for regional operations
Duncan-Odukoya said “Congratulations to Ibom Air on the arrival of their new Airbus A220-300 Aircraft. We believe there is a strong market for regional Air travel in Nigeria ”
Duncan Odukoya further stated that “This is a testament to Ibom Air’s dedication to providing a superior travel experience for its customers. The addition of the fuel efficient and modern aircraft to their fleet will further strengthen their position as a leading Regional Airline”
She noted that MMA2 is strategically positioned for regional operations as they are prepared to be a single hub partner for domestic Airlines, facilitating seamless travel operations and potentially reducing overhead costs, thereby increasing revenue generation for domestic Airlines in line with one of the five point agenda of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
On his part, head of Aeronautical and Cargo services Department of BASL Remi Jibodu described the move by Ibom Air aa remarkable as it is worthy of emulation
He noted that BASL is committed to supporting the growth of Nigerian aviation adding that the company has invested heavily in the development of MMA2 which is the most efficient Airport terminal in Nigeria.
He said the recent upgrade of the common Use passenger processing system (CUPPS) by RESA to the latest version is a testament of their resolve for continuous technological advancement and desire for seamless passenger facilitation
