The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority NCAA, has suspended wet lease aircraft belonging to United Nigeria Airlines.
Director General of NCAA Musa Nuhu who confirmed this , stated that the NCAA is set to commence investigation into what led to the Airline aircraft landing in Asaba on Sunday instead of Abuja route that the Aircraft was scheduled for
Nuhu disclosed that there are certain procedures that airlines who operate Wet lease are supposed to carry out for the Wet lease crew, and that they will thoroughly look at that during the investigation
On the pilot involved in the incident , the NCAA DG , Disclosed that he has been issued a Letter Of Investigation LOI adding that in the interest of safety the airline’s wet lease has to be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation which will be concluded soonest
On Sunday November 26th , an aircraft operated by united Nigeria Airlines landed it’s passengers scheduled for Abuja in Asaba and the airline blamed it on crew misinformation.
