United Nigeria Airlines has announced a promotional partnership with Samsung that will reward passengers travelling on its Lagos–Abuja–Lagos route on May 29 with brand-new Galaxy smartphones as part of efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and passenger experience.

The airline disclosed this in a press statement introducing its new “Awesome Row” campaign, an initiative aimed at creating a more engaging and rewarding travel experience for customers flying on selected services between Nigeria’s commercial and political capitals.

Under the arrangement, passengers aboard the selected flights will not only enjoy an onboard experience featuring Samsung’s latest mobile devices, but will also stand a chance of winning new smartphones through a lucky dip draw conducted during the flights.

According to the airline, the campaign will feature Samsung’s newly introduced Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 devices, which will be showcased to passengers during the journey.

Speaking on the collaboration, the Chief Commercial Officer of United Nigeria Airlines, Dayo Olawuyi, described the initiative as part of the carrier’s broader strategy to continually improve customer engagement and offer passengers more than just air transportation.

Olawuyi explained that the airline’s partnership with Samsung was built on a shared commitment to quality service, innovation, and customer appreciation.

He stated that passengers travelling on the morning Lagos–Abuja or Abuja–Lagos flights on May 29 would qualify for the onboard draw and stand a chance of winning a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

According to him, the airline remains committed to ensuring that passengers enjoy memorable experiences from the point of check-in to arrival at their destinations.

“We partnered with Samsung because of our shared values of excellence and, most importantly, to reward our loyal passengers with a live device experience,” Olawuyi said.

He added that the airline wants travellers to associate flying with United Nigeria Airlines with comfort, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.

“We are very passionate about ensuring our customers have the best experience and that is exactly the kind of thing we want people to associate with flying United Air,” he added.

The airline noted that every passenger travelling on the designated May 29 flights between Lagos and Abuja would be eligible to participate in the onboard lucky dip without any additional cost.

Industry observers say the initiative reflects growing competition among domestic carriers to attract and retain passengers through value-added services and promotional campaigns beyond conventional flight operations.

The partnership is also expected to provide Samsung with an opportunity to showcase its latest Galaxy devices directly to a broad range of consumers while strengthening its visibility within Nigeria’s growing aviation and travel market.
