Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration service NIS Abba Abdullahi Dalhatu has charged officers and men of the NIS to always be at alert and vigilant in the discharge of their Duties especially in this time of emerging global terrorism.
Dalhatu gave the charge at an emotion filled ceremony to celebrate his retirement after 35years of service in the NIS.
Dalhatu who was indeed grateful to God for having seen him through 35years of service to his fatherland, urged officers and men to be committed to duty and work hard to successfully carry out their responsibilities.
He stressed that loyalty to his superiors and patience have keep him in discharging his duties “There are three things if you imbibe, you will succed in life, one is patience, i believe it worked for me, two be loyal where ever you find yourself, be loyal to your superiors, show commitment and dedication to duty”
Heads of agencies at the Murtala Muhammed international airport lagos who were on ground to celebrate Dalhatu express joy in the fact he was retiring in peace but were not happy because they will miss working with him, as he is a team player who loves to carry people along with alot of humility.
They all attested to the fact that Dalhatu impacted positively in them in the times they have had to work together.
Five other officers of the NIS also retired along side comptroller Abdullahi Dalhatu
