NIS ONDO ARREST SUSPECTED PASSPORT RACKETEERING SYNDICATE
Operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS Ondo state command have three suspected members of a passport racketeering syndicate.
Public relations officer of the Ondo state Command NIS, Taiwan Alebiosun said the suspects capitalise on previous lapses in passport administration and charged their victim between eighty thousand naira and one hundred and sixty five thousand naira for passport issuance
He noted that alot of efforts have been put in place by the minister of interior Olubumi Tunji Ojo, to address the lapses in passport issuance.
Alebiosun warned residents of the state against patronising individuals parading themselves as agents and dupe people of their hard earned resources in a bid to acquire the international passport.
The NIS say the suspects will be arraigned in court after conclusion of investigation
