Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo has ordered refund of all monies to Air passengers who have previously made payments for flight travels to some airlines whose operations are now currently challenged.

Keyamo gave the order Thursday in lagos at the launch of the consumer protection portal of the NCAA where he also directed the civil aviation authority to ensure that measures are in place to accomplish the latest directive.
In his remarks, he said there will be meaningful development in the aviation sector if the final consumers who are the passengers experience the changes in the sector

He noted that the portal will address the myriad of challenges faced by Air passengers in airports across the country ranging from flight delays and cancellation.

Keyamo said with the portal coming on board, the NCAA now has more work, charging the agency to ensure passengers who had paid money to some airlines who are having issues get refund as soon as possible.

Acting Director General of NCAA Chris Najomo says the portal is in line with global practice to address customer issues
The minister noted that the whole world is going digital aimed at bringing relief to Air passengers , noting that it’s a core mandate to ensure that air passengers are guaranteed consumer protection always.
