The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company PLC (NAHCO AVIANCE) has appointed Olumuyiwa Olumekun as its new Group Managing Director (GMD).
Olumekun replaced Indranil Gupta whose tenure expired on December 31, 2024.
The Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, NAHCO Plc, Tayo Ajakaye, who disclosed this in a statement, said the appointment of Olumekun took effect from January 1, 2025.
Ajakaye, said the handling company had also notified the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on December 27, 2024, adding that the Company Secretary of NAHCO, Bello Abdullahi had informed the board of the change and was approved by it.
Olumekun is a seasoned business executive with over three decades of leadership experience across various industries.
He retired as the Group Executive Director, Corporate Services at NAHCO PLC in February 2022.
During his tenure, he held multiple strategic roles, including Acting Managing Director (August 2021 to February 2022) and Executive Director of Corporate Services, where he provided leadership to key functions such as Human Resources, Learning & Development, IT, Administrative Services, Infrastructure, and Procurement.
