Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, says it has concluded plans to implement the next phase of the roll out of the Contactless passport application system
The service public relations officer Akinsola Akinlabi in a release say this follows the successful rollout of the contactless passport application system in Canada on 5th November 2024.
He stressed that the leadership of the NIS under CG kemi Nandap is doing this especially for Nigerians in Diaspora with a view to making passport application easy.
Akinlabi noted that for emphasis, the contactless passport application which is currently available on Google play store (NIS mobile) is designed to allow Nigerians renew their passports without visiting any passport centre for biometric enrolment.
He noted that the service is committed to innovative and efficient service delivery to Nigerians everywhere in the world
