The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to fostering a sustainable aviation ecosystem through strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force.
Keyamo, who made this known while addressing participants at the 4th African Air Forces Forum held in Lagos, emphasised that the deepening partnership between the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force is not only strengthening national airspace security but also laying the groundwork for long-term economic growth.
Highlighting critical areas of cooperation such as airspace security, aviation infrastructure development, and workforce training, the Minister underscored that the joint efforts go beyond the immediate objective of combating terrorism.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing the aviation industry through strategic alliances that harmonise national security priorities with economic development objectives.
The Minister also commended the Nigerian Air Force for its professionalism, resilience, and continued support in promoting national aviation goals.
Keyamo also, extended appreciation to international partners and stakeholders present at the forum, urging sustained cooperation to position Nigeria as “a beacon of aviation excellence in Africa.
The Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, said the 4th African Air Forces Forum brought together top military and civilian aviation leaders across the continent to deliberate on shared challenges and opportunities in enhancing air power and aviation development in Africa.
