The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority NCAA has presented the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System RPAS operations Certificate ROC, to Starwing Aviation limited.
Director General NCAA Chris Najomo who presented the Certificate in Abuja charged the company to maintain the Certificate as its compliance is more critical adding that the presentation is a significant achievement
The Director Aerodrome and Airspace Standards Godwin Balang outlined the rigorous certification process closely observed throughout the ROC approval process as well as the importance of security and bird strike prevention which are part of operational safety.
Dr Harold Demuren in his remarks, expressed appreciation to the NCAA for the pivotal step towards marking Nigeria the centre for drone operations in Africa.
He however assured that Starwing aviation will demonstrate compliance at every stage of their operations.
Managing Director Starwing aviation kunmi Demuren also expressed gratitude to the DG NCAA Chris Najomo, Balang and the NCAA Licensing team for their co-operation and guidance.
